About the Opportunity:
The organization provides technology solutions to simplify car buying and selling, connecting consumers and dealers through digital platforms. The data science team builds and deploys machine learning products to enhance the shopping experience, optimize sales and marketing, and develop measurement strategies. The Data Scientist III role involves ownership of machine learning products, collaborative work, and exposure to a range of machine learning projects serving millions of users.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define, design, build, and deploy machine learning models and frame AB tests
• Monitor and understand the business impact of models and ensure consistent quality of model outputs
• Apply robust coding practices for reliable and efficient model delivery
• Identify business opportunities and trends with business partners
• Communicate modeling methodologies and analytical findings to stakeholders
• Stay current with technology trends and publish research articles on scientific innovations
Requirements:
• 2+ years professional experience developing machine learning models with a MS in machine-learning, applied mathematics, or related quantitative field
• Understanding of supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning concepts
• Exposure to and understanding of GenAI concepts, models, and tools preferred
• Experience with full deployment pipeline of machine learning algorithms including development, validation, implementation, and production launch
• Strong coding skills in Python or PySpark and proficiency with SQL queries
• Understanding of AWS ecosystem
• Flexibility to work on diverse machine learning problems
• Knowledge of coding best practices and familiarity with version control tools
• Preferred: PhD/Masters in statistics, econometrics, machine-learning, applied mathematics, or related field
• Preferred: Experience evaluating search and recommendation systems
• Preferred: Experience building end-to-end machine learning systems
Compensation:
• Salary Range: $93,100.00 to $114,050.00
