2. About the Opportunity:
The Data Scientist II, Growth Marketing role is designed to bring scientific rigor to marketing measurement and optimization, directly influencing revenue growth and marketing strategy. The position supports marketing efforts aimed at driving business growth by identifying investment opportunities, understanding revenue dynamics, and defining metrics to grow and sustain the advertiser base. This role collaborates across marketing, product, engineering, and analytics teams to solve complex business challenges and inform strategic decisions.
3. Responsibilities:
• Lead design, implementation, and refinement of marketing measurement frameworks and models to quantify marketing ROI across various channels
• Build and deploy statistical and machine learning models such as propensity, forecasting, and lifetime value (LTV) models to optimize marketing strategies
• Develop and improve attribution methodologies to evaluate multi-channel marketing effectiveness
• Assess incremental impact of marketing activities using causal inference and experimental frameworks
• Conduct strategic analyses to improve marketing ROI, budget allocation, and advertiser growth in established and new markets
• Translate complex analyses into actionable insights and recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership
• Design, maintain, and promote dashboards and automated reporting tools for self-serve decision-making
• Build and optimize ETL pipelines to automate reporting and support advanced analysis and feature engineering
4. Requirements:
• 3+ years of combined post-graduate academic and industry experience applying scientific methods to real-world problems
• Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering
• Practical experience building marketing measurement solutions to quantify business impact
• Strong background in statistics and advanced quantitative analysis
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python or R preferred) and SQL/Hive with ability to write efficient queries
• Strong business and product sense; ability to translate vague questions into defined analyses and success metrics
• Excellent communication skills to lead initiatives and clearly present findings to leadership and cross-functional teams
• Experience leading technical projects and strong background in experimentation and causal inference
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• $114,297—$235,319 USD
• Position is eligible for equity
• Final salary depends on factors including location, travel, prior experience, and skills
