About the Opportunity:
The organization provides advanced identity verification and fraud prevention solutions using predictive analytics and machine learning. This Data Scientist role focuses on building fraud and risk products, analyzing large datasets, and deploying models to enhance identity verification and reduce fraud.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and statistical algorithms for fraud detection and identity verification using large-scale data.
• Analyze large datasets to identify insights, fraud patterns, and opportunities for product improvements.
• Interpret feedback and fraud data to improve models and products.
• Understand FCRA data and model design considerations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.
• Develop data processing pipelines, automated workflows, and tools to integrate and evaluate data from various sources.
• Provide analytical support to the fraud and risk data science team and present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Test and apply advanced machine learning algorithms and techniques to enhance model performance.
• Build, maintain, and monitor scalable models in production environments and participate in code reviews.
• Identify and communicate trends or anomalies that support broader product strategies.
Requirements:
• Experience working with fraud or related datasets.
• Master''s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Python (preferred) or R, with experience in libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or XGBoost.
• Ability to analyze, clean, and model large datasets using SQL and data tools like AWS, Databricks, or Hadoop/Spark.
• Experience creating dashboards in AWS Quicksight and Databricks.
• Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
• Experience translating business problems into data science solutions and communicating results clearly.
