2. About the Opportunity:
The Data Scientist - Decisions & Insights role focuses on partnering with Client Support and Styling teams to transform data into actionable business strategies. This position involves designing and analyzing experiments and observational studies that generate key insights. The role also emphasizes providing training and support for self-service analytical tools, enabling stakeholders to confidently use data to inform their decisions. As part of a high-visibility team, this position drives innovation in data evaluation and usage across the organization from the outset.
3. Responsibilities:
• Develop sophisticated statistical models to deliver causal insights addressing complex, large-scale business challenges.
• Own and refine analytical strategies, including defining success metrics and communicating results clearly to executives.
• Mentor data scientists to enhance modeling, experimentation, and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Client Support, Styling, and Product teams to create reliable data products and self-service tools.
• Address ambiguous, high-impact problems by providing structure and technical leadership from start to finish.
• Analyze diverse datasets related to client behavior and merchandise to inform future styling decisions.
4. Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a data science role, preferably in e-commerce or retail.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Proficiency in Python or R and experience writing SQL in production-focused, collaborative environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for business stakeholders.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to improve routine tasks and developing scalable workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently from concept through delivery.
• Solid background in experimentation and causal inference, linking model outputs to business impacts.
• Motivated to continually improve technical excellence individually and as part of a team.
