About the Role
The Customer Program Manager serves as the primary interface to customers, managing specific programs and projects to meet planned revenue and profit targets. This role is central to coordinating teams and aligning customer interactions with internal groups such as marketing, sales, finance, and manufacturing. The position plays a key role in ensuring program delivery, managing customer satisfaction, and supporting business development and pricing activities to drive overall account success.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary interface for managing specific customer programs to meet revenue and profit goals
- Support large-scale initiatives involving multiple customers as needed
- Collaborate with teams managing day-to-day account activities to ensure on-time product delivery and project schedules
- Coordinate and lead regular program tracking meetings with customers and internal teams
- Manage current and planned programs to achieve revenue targets under guidance
- Develop plans to meet customer commitments and schedules
- Support sales and business units with content for customer communications and business reviews
- Create action plans to address and correct deviations from plans
- Maintain frequent communication with customers to ensure satisfaction
- Collect and communicate customer feedback internally
- Prepare and analyze customer surveys and self-assessments
- Address and resolve customer issues and complaints, advocating for customer priorities
- Manage customer account profitability
- Participate in forecasting, planning, and monitoring account efficiency and strategy execution
- Engage in pricing, bid preparation, contract development, and management
- Provide performance reports for operational and customer performance reviews
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to develop and implement account sales strategies
Requirements
- Nine or more years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Skills in relationship management, project management, sales process, and business development
- Knowledge of industry, market, and technology relevant to the role
- Financial and business acumen, including commercial skills related to contracts, financials, and quotations
- Ability to understand data analytics and learn internal IT tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Leadership, communication, teamwork, collaboration, conflict resolution, and ability to lead without authority
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
- Preferred experience in EMS, OEM, or ODM environments
Compensation
$156,000 — $214,000 USD annually
The salary range described is an estimate and may change based on factors such as duties, candidate credentials, experience, or geographic location.
