About the Opportunity:
The organization is seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer focused on AI to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI and machine learning solutions. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to address large-scale challenges and advance AI capabilities within the program.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI and ML systems that meet performance and scalability requirements.
• Lead AI/ML project workstreams independently, coordinating with Product, Data, and Infrastructure teams.
• Serve as an internal consultant to engineering teams, aiding in identifying and implementing AI solutions.
• Mentor and coach engineers and peers by reviewing code, sharing best practices, and fostering technical growth.
• Translate business requirements into robust, well-architected AI software solutions using sound engineering principles.
• Optimize models and systems for scalability, reliability, and performance in production.
• Contribute to the design and evolution of internal AI platforms and tooling to improve development workflows and deployment efficiency.
• Stay updated on AI/ML research and industry trends and assess their applicability to real-world use cases.
Requirements:
• Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX.
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
• Experience deploying models in production using cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure).
• Familiarity with MLOps practices including model versioning, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with large-scale data processing tools (e.g., Spark, Kafka, or Ray).
• Knowledge of deep learning, NLP, or generative AI.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in AI/ML.
• Ability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly and effectively.
