Current projects include advanced personalization targeting, virtual try-on capabilities, and analytics for outfit performance and purchase insights.

2. About the Opportunity:

The AI Software Engineer role within the innovation division is responsible for advancing AI model applications by developing data tools and expertise that enhance model capabilities. This full-stack position involves prototyping user interfaces and building scalable backend systems to serve multiple clients. Reporting directly to the CTO, the role allows for independent work while collaborating with cross-functional teams to prototype, test, and deploy innovative AI solutions that impact retail use cases.

3. Responsibilities:

• Write production-level TypeScript code utilizing AI tools

• Develop full-stack prototypes with front-end interfaces for stakeholder demonstration

• Perform prompt engineering and testing with large language models such as Claude, Gemini, and OpenAI

• Engineer context to determine relevant data for language models and agents

• Design agentic workflows

• Build systems for monitoring and testing language model performance

• Analyze large data sets

• Design and implement scalable, maintainable solutions across multiple clients

• Provide technical leadership in discussions on language model usage and project direction

4. Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields

• Minimum of 4 years software development experience, preferably with exposure to retail, e-commerce, or applied AI/technology

• Proficient communication skills, including strong asynchronous written communication

• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and strategic thinking skills

• Experience with React, TypeScript, and SQL sufficient to build functioning user interfaces

• Hands-on experience with language models and prompt engineering (Claude, Gemini, or OpenAI APIs)

• Experience or enthusiasm for agentic software engineering and use of AI coding tools

• Understanding of system design, scalability, APIs, and open-source packages

• Familiarity with evaluating model performance using structured tests and metrics

• Ability to operate in ambiguous product definitions with senior engineering support

• Sound judgment on trusting or challenging language model outputs backed by engineering knowledge

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
