Job Summary

Duties
- Develop detailed mechanical designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements
- Create comprehensive schematics, technical drawings, and drafting documentation aligned with ASME codes & standards
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulation techniques to validate mechanical integrity and performance under various conditions
- Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot mechanical failures, identify issues, and implement corrective actions
- Utilize programming tools like MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, Arduino, and C/C++ for system modeling, automation, and control integration
- Manage project schedules by coordinating tasks across design, testing, manufacturing, and validation phases
- Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles to ensure precise manufacturing specifications
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize mechanical designs for production efficiency and quality standards
- Perform system design evaluations incorporating programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC machining processes, and quantum engineering principles where applicable
Skills
- Strong proficiency in CAD software including SolidWorks and Creo for mechanical design and drafting
- Expertise in creating schematics and technical documentation adhering to ASME codes & standards
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals combined with practical manufacturing knowledge
- Experience with simulation tools such as FEA software to analyze stress, thermal effects, and material behavior
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on mechanical failures using systematic troubleshooting methods
- Familiarity with control systems programming using MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, Arduino, or C/C++ for automation projects
- Knowledge of system design principles involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC machining, and quantum engineering concepts where relevant
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and applying GD&T standards for precision manufacturing
- Capable of managing multiple projects through effective project scheduling techniques
