We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist / Python Developer to join our remote team. You will be part of a collaborative, cross-functional group working on end-to-end solutions, from architecture to deployment. The role includes both hands-on development and leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Participate in projects from inception to delivery
Coordinate the team and mentor junior colleagues (in collaboration with senior staff)
Take ownership of project architecture and technical implementation
Maintain high development standards (including code reviews, test coverage >80%, and full Infrastructure as Code)
Assign tasks and track progress within the team
Shape the technical roadmap, including GenAI feature integration
Select appropriate technologies for ongoing and future development

Required Qualifications

Senior-level experience in Data Science and/or Python development
Hands-on experience with data and algorithms in one or more of the following: sales, marketing, web traffic, production
Previous experience leading or coordinating a small Data Science team (preferred)
Experience in the automotive industry is a plus, but not required
Fluency in English; German is a bonus
Familiarity with agile development methodologies
Solid experience with the following technologies:

Database: MongoDB

Infrastructure: Terraform

Testing: Pytest

Version Control: GitHub
