AI/ML Data Scientist - contract 6 months - Remote - Pharma

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist with hands-on experience in Python programming, statistical modeling, and machine learning to join pharmaceutical and clinical analytics team. In this role, you will leverage advanced analytics to drive innovation in drug discovery, clinical development, and real-world evidence generation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proven experience/ hands on experience in coding (Python)
• Develop and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze large-scale pharmaceutical and clinical datasets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design experiments and derive actionable insights from data related to drug discovery, clinical trials, genomics, and patient outcomes.
• Explore real-world evidence (RWE) and real-world data (RWD) to support drug development and market access strategies.
• Design and deploy AI models to predict drug efficacy, optimize clinical trial designs, and identify novel drug targets.
• Develop natural language processing (NLP) algorithms to analyse unstructured medical literature, electronic health records (EHRs), and clinical trial documents.
• Utilize deep learning techniques for image analysis in pathology and radiology or biomarker discovery.
• Clean, pre-process, and manage large datasets from various sources including clinical, omics (genomics, proteomics), and commercial datasets.
• Integrate public and proprietary datasets to develop comprehensive datasets for machine learning models.
• Work closely with bioinformaticians, clinical researchers, and other stakeholders to translate business objectives into technical solutions.
• Present findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders and help guide strategic decision-making.
• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences where applicable.
