Staff Software Engineer

Title of Role: Senior/Staff Full Stack Engineer

Salary: $195k - $220K base + equity

What You Will Do:

• As a Full Stack Engineer, you’ll work on a small, fast-moving team to develop the next generation of matchmaking tools and user experiences.
• Help design and build core systems across the backend and frontend
• Build features that support matchmaking workflows and improve customer experience
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
• Contribute to architectural decisions for scalability, performance, and quality
• Collaborate with product and operational stakeholders to solve real business problems
• Own projects from inception to deployment in a modern, production environment

Ideal Background:

• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience with TypeScript, and comfort across the fullstack
• Experience working with PostgreSQL, Prisma, or similar backend/data layer tools
• Skilled in building scalable web applications and APIs (REST or tRPC)
• Experience working with modern component-based frontend frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to work in small teams and ship quickly
• Strong communicator with a product-first mindset and attention to UX
• Motivated self-starter comfortable with autonomy and decision-making

Preferred:

• Experience in fast-paced startups or product-driven companies
• Exposure to modern backend frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Express,tRPC)
• Familiarity with modern tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, CI/CD, modern dev environments)
• Passion for consumer products that help people connect or improve their lives
