What You Will Do
- Own frontend features end-to-end: research, design, implement, test, and ship
- Lead and shape our frontend architecture—set standards for code quality, testing, and development practices
- Mentor and guide other engineers, establishing frontend best practices and patterns
- Talk directly to customers and translate vague requirements into polished user experiences
- Build responsive UIs using React, TypeScript, Tailwind, and shadcn/ui
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Contribute to frontend architecture and state management decisions
- Ship fast and learn fast—high urgency environment
You're a Fit If
- You have 3–6 years of professional frontend experience at a product-first company
- You can take mockups and build pixel-perfect, accessible, high-performance applications
- You care deeply about product, design, and user flow—not just code
- You've owned something meaningful end-to-end (a product module, design system, or major performance refactor)
- You have experience setting technical standards and can be the go-to expert for frontend decisions
- You enjoy mentoring others and raising the bar for engineering quality
- You're resourceful and thrive in ambiguous environments—you figure things out independently
- You have strong product intuition and can push back on requirements when needed to improve UX
Frontend-Specific Skills We Value
- Core Stack: React, TypeScript, Next.js
- Styling & Design: Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, translating Figma designs to production code
- State & Data: State management (Redux, Zustand, React Query), consuming REST/GraphQL APIs
- Quality & Testing: Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress/Playwright
- Architecture: Design systems, web accessibility (WCAG), frontend performance optimization
- Leadership: Code reviews, documentation, establishing conventions and best practices
Bonus Points If
- You've worked at an early-stage startup or been a first/early engineering hire
- You've built or maintained a design system (reusable component libraries)
- You've led frontend initiatives or been the technical lead for a frontend team
- You've worked with product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel) for data-driven development
- You've built internal tooling, dashboards, or data visualization systems for thousands of users
- You've worked directly with designers and can contribute to design discussions
- You're comfortable with rapid iteration and shipping MVPs
- You're curious about AI, e-commerce, or automation
- You've shipped side projects or contributed to open-source
