Raytheon is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Transformation & Initiatives (T&I) department. The T&I department provides subject matter expertise focusing on driving strategic changes, process improvements, and innovation initiatives to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and technological capabilities of systems engineering practices. The Senior Systems Engineer will report to the Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) Affordability Engineering section within the T&I Department. This role provides subject matter expertise in Design-to-Unit Production Cost (DTUPC) modeling, discrete event simulation using tools such as ExtendSim, and Life Cycle Cost estimating using ACEIT to identify, analyze, and drive affordability solutions across programs.
What You will Do:
You will be working as part of the RMD Affordability Engineering team to define and drive cost-effective solutions across Ground Radar and Sensor programs. You will develop and apply advanced cost modeling techniques, simulation, and life cycle analysis to ensure system affordability while meeting mission performance requirements.
Tasks you will perform include influencing the affordability of various systems and products throughout their life cycle. In this role, you’ll develop affordability solutions as the program lead of a cross-functional team, supporting both pre-production, production and sustainment affordability efforts. You’ll directly support the Program Manager and Chief Engineer, acting as the focal point for guiding the Raytheon Affordability Process.

_The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
