Product Designer - Platform – SF / NYC / Seattle (Hybrid)
Compensation: $160K–$289K Base + Equity & Benefits
Workplace Type: Hybrid (SF / NYC / Seattle)
About the Role
Join a multi-product B2B platform company building the connective tissue that makes a large, fast-moving product suite feel coherent, powerful, and scalable. This role sits on the Platform team—owning primitives, shared surfaces, and frameworks used across many products and global scenarios. Hybrid with an in-office expectation (~3 days/week) for office-based employees.
What You’ll Do
- Design core platform primitives used across multiple products (navigation, shared home, settings, data/visualization, etc.).
- Turn abstract, complex systems (permissions, governance, integrations) into concrete, comprehensible experiences.
- Partner with Product & Engineering to craft scalable, extensible frameworks that balance flexibility and usability.
- Ensure shared surfaces are cohesive and delightful across a broad ecosystem.
- Anticipate edge cases in data flows, security/governance, and multi-system integrations; design for resilience.
- Deliver high-fidelity flows and interaction prototypes that clarify trade-offs and accelerate decision-making.
What You’ll Need
- 8+ years end-to-end product design with a portfolio showing systems design and complex product delivery.
- Proven ability to simplify complexity—experience in platform infrastructure, integrations, or compliance-heavy domains.
- High bar for interaction and visual craft; ability to set standards and raise quality across teams.
- Exceptionally clear communication—make abstract concepts legible; guide partners through tough calls.
- Systems-minded: you see patterns across products and design for platform coherence.
- Bias to action in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- (Nice-to-have) Experience designing shared, cross-product surfaces, integration flows (OAuth/API keys/sync), and permissions models (RBAC/ABAC/entitlements).
- If you don’t meet every requirement, you’re encouraged to apply—skills transfer.
