Founding Marketing Engineer

You will build and run the machines that market Rankfor.
We measure what AI models say about brands, and we practice what we sell: our own marketing runs
on pipelines, measurement and published evidence. Those pipelines exist today and one person should own them. That person is this hire.

## What Rankfor is

Rankfor.AI measures brand visibility inside AI answers across ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok and Claude, in 16 languages, and produces the content that changes what the models read. The methodology is published research, open DOIs, and a book, Become the Answer.

AI Ads, our sponsored content layer for AI answers, has run at a Finnish media house since June 2026. The company is European: offices in Tallinn, Wrocław and Zurich, infrastructure in the EU.

## What "marketing engineer" means here

Marketing at Rankfor is a codebase. Decks compile from JSON specs and fail the build when the copy breaks our writing standard. Videos go from two camera cards to a published episode plus 32 shorts through one Python pipeline.
Outreach, CRM, ads tagging and attribution are wired systems with owners and logs. You will spend third your time "writing" code, third shipping campaigns through the code you wrote, and third doing human PR/social/community growth.

## What you will own

1. The content factory. The deck builder, the copy linter, the video pipeline, the carousel and social-card generators. Extend them, keep them boring and reliable, and use them weekly to ship real material.

2. The measurement layer. GTM, GA4, PostHog, HubSpot, the pixels that separate AI-bot reads from human visits. Every campaign reports absolute numbers monthly; you build and defend those numbers.

3. The outreach machinery. Email sequences, deliverability (SPF, DKIM,
DMARC, warm-up), lead enrichment, LinkedIn workflows. Volume never outruns deliverability or consent.

4. Our own AI visibility. The public site and landing pages (Astro, React), answer-first articles, structured data, prerender, llms.txt. We sell answer
engine optimization, so rankfor.ai must be the easiest site on the internet for a model to quote. You keep it that way.

5. Paid channels. LinkedIn Ads and Google Ads: creative variants shipped through the factory, spend reported against pipeline, killed fast when the numbers say so.

6. AI Ads operations. Campaign asset serving and the server-level bot-read reporting that publishers and advertisers receive.

## A normal week

Ship a landing page for a campaign and wire its tracking. Add a slide kind to the deck builder because sales needs a comparison layout. Pull the month's bot-read numbers into a client report. Cut a LinkedIn ads variant, launch it, and write the three lines of copy yourself. Fix the one email sequence whose reply rate dropped, and find out why before touching it.

## The rules you will work under

- Every public number carries its method, sample and date.
- No outcome promises, ever. We commit to the work and full transparency.
- A writing standard governs every visible word. You will extend the linter when you find a failure it misses.
- Everything lives in git. A campaign, deck, or material that exists only in a dashboard does not exist.

## Who fits

- A natural engineer who writes well, or a marketer who ships code. You have both halves.
- TypeScript and Python read and written without ceremony. Comfortable with DNS, APIs, webhooks and a CDN log.
- You already use LLMs as a daily tool and know where their output stops being trustworthy.
- You publish: a blog, a tool, a repo, a channel. Something exists because you made it exist.
- Working proficiency in English. Polish, Finnish, or Estonian helps; we sell market by market.

This role is a poor fit for a brand strategist who does not ship, an agency coordinator, or someone who needs a design team before publishing.

## Shape of the role

Founding role. You are the first marketing hire, you report to the CEO, and you sit in sales calls often enough to hear what the market actually says.

1. Send one thing you built and shipped, with a link and three sentences o what it did. A CV is optional.
2. A 45-minute call with the CEO. You will see our pipelines, live.
3. A paid work sample, scoped to under a day: a real improvement to a rea pipeline, merged if it is good.
4. Decision within a week of the work sample.
