Head Of Digital & Brand Design

Full-time, remote | Progression opportunity to Creative Director

We’re looking for a multidisciplinary designer with an exceptional eye for design, strong digital skills and the curiosity to understand what makes an audience respond.

You’ll initially work across several brands within the interiors, design, home and lifestyle space. Over time, your attention will likely become focused on two core brands:

  • House of Fitters — a premium kitchen and bathroom renovation company
  • Richard Bramble — an established British art, tableware and homeware brand

This is a hands-on role for a promising designer whose strongest discipline is web and digital design, but who can confidently move between websites, advertising, social content and wider brand assets.

It is a full-time, remote position, although we may consider someone who needs to begin part-time before progressing into the full-time role. You’ll report directly to the company director and won’t initially have management responsibilities.

What you’ll be responsible for

Approximately 35% of your time will be spent on web design across both e-commerce and service-based businesses. Around 25% will currently involve AI image generation, image editing and exploring new ways to produce highly realistic image and video assets. The remainder will primarily involve brand, advertising and organic social media assets.

Your work will include:

  • Designing and building websites and landing pages in Framer
  • Creating page structures, user journeys and interactive prototypes
  • Producing static ads, social media content and marketing collateral
  • Making straightforward edits to video ads, including typography, transitions, audio and basic motion
  • Using AI to generate, edit and develop high-quality image and video assets
  • Experimenting with new AI tools and workflows to produce increasingly realistic creative
  • Using AI to accelerate output without compromising design quality or brand consistency
  • Designing presentations, brochures and other digital or print materials
  • Creating website and product assets for Shopify
  • Reviewing completed pages and giving developers clear design and UX feedback
  • Maintaining a consistent visual identity across multiple brands and channels

You’ll also be directly involved in revenue-generating activities. This will include brainstorming conversion-rate optimisation opportunities, developing advertising creative, improving landing pages and designing changes intended to increase enquiries or sales.

This isn’t a role where you’ll simply receive a brief and make something look polished. We want someone who investigates the audience, understands the commercial objective and contributes ideas before beginning the design.

What we’re looking for

You should have:

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating excellent web and digital design
  • A natural understanding of typography, colour, composition and visual hierarchy
  • Experience creating websites or landing pages in Framer or Figma
  • The ability to work directly in Framer—or the willingness and capability to learn it quickly
  • Experience creating static advertising and social media assets
  • Basic video-editing capabilities
  • Experience using AI image-generation or editing tools—or a strong desire to master them
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage work across several brands
  • The confidence to explain the reasoning behind your creative decisions
  • A curious, proactive mindset rather than waiting to be given every answer
  • The ability to learn, experiment and adapt quickly as tools and processes evolve

Our current creative toolkit includes Framer, Figma, Adobe, Canva, Claude Cowork, Arcads, CapCut and other AI image and video tools. You don’t need experience with every platform, but you should be comfortable continually testing new technology and incorporating useful tools into your workflow.

This is a fast-paced environment in which our tools, processes and creative opportunities continually evolve. You should enjoy learning, solving unfamiliar problems and finding more effective ways to produce excellent work—not feel unsettled when the way we work changes.

Experience with Shopify, e-commerce, CRO, interactive prototyping or developer handoffs would be valuable, but isn’t essential.

An interest in interiors, architecture, home renovation, décor or aesthetically led consumer brands would also be a strong advantage.

How we want you to think

We want someone who looks beyond surface-level trends and tries to understand the people behind the work.

You should be interested in exploring an ideal customer’s tastes, the content they consume, the communities they participate in and the brands or cultural influences that shape their preferences.

Most importantly, you should be able to turn those observations into useful creative insights—and then translate those insights into websites, campaigns and content that achieve a commercial objective.

We also want you to think beyond individual design tasks. Over time, we want the person leading this function to treat it like a business within the wider business: understanding its commercial impact, improving its processes, prioritising the highest-value opportunities and taking responsibility for the quality and effectiveness of its output.

Your development

You don’t need to arrive as a Creative Director. We’re looking for someone with strong creative foundations, good taste and the ambition to develop into a broader creative-leadership position.

You’ll receive ongoing training and support in areas where you’re less experienced, as well as guidance on our processes, tools, commercial objectives and the audiences behind each brand.

As your understanding and capabilities develop, you’ll be trusted to make more creative and commercial decisions independently. The long-term opportunity is to take ownership of the design function, operate with considerable autonomy and shape the visual direction of our brands.
