Job Type: Full-time employee

Who We Are

Raicom LLC is the company behind a portfolio of high-volume ecommerce consumer brands. We ship roughly 200,000 orders a month, handle over 3,000 customer conversations a day, and build most of our own technology in-house.

Our backend systems are strong, but nobody on our team specializes in what customers actually see. Landing pages, product pages, marketing emails, and our customer subscription portal have all been built by developers whose focus was elsewhere. That's revenue and conversion we're leaving on the table.

That's where you come in.

The Role

You'll be one half of a new two-person pod consisting of a frontend developer and a designer working side by side on everything customer-facing across our brands. The designer designs it, you build it, and together you ship it fast.

Speed matters here. With AI in your workflow, most pages and emails should go from design to live in hours, not days, and every template you build should make the next one faster.

You'll work with our CTO, company executives, and other developers.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

  • Build landing pages and product pages for our Shopify stores from the designer's mockups, pixel for pixel, whether that's theme code, a custom Next.js page, or a page builder.
  • Build marketing email templates in Klaviyo or our custom system that render correctly in every inbox across different device types and themes.
  • Improve the UI of our customer-facing subscription portal (Next.js/React).
  • Occasionally build or improve the UI of the internal tools our team uses every day.
  • Build and maintain reusable components and templates so each new page or email is faster to ship.
  • Keep pages fast and conversion-friendly: load time, mobile layout, and checkout flow all matter.
  • Work with marketing to launch pages and emails, see how they perform, and improve them.

What We're Looking For

  • Expert-level HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React. You can turn a Figma file into a pixel-perfect, responsive page quickly.
  • A real eye for design. You notice when spacing, type, or alignment is off, and you care enough to fix it.
  • Experience building on Shopify (themes, Liquid, sections) and/or building HTML email.
  • Fast without being sloppy. You ship quickly and what you ship works on every screen.
  • AI-native, with real fundamentals. You use AI tools to move faster and you understand everything you ship.
  • Proactive and a clear written communicator. Your updates are timely, the right length, and written by you.
  • Fluent, work-level English, written and spoken.
  • Bonus: Next.js, Tailwind, conversion rate optimization, or experience working closely with a designer as a pair.

Tech stack: TypeScript, React, Next.js on Vercel, Tailwind, Shopify (themes, Liquid, page builders), Klaviyo, Figma.

Honestly, the ideal person is a frontend developer who could almost be a designer, loves taking a great design and making it real the same day, and measures their work by whether the page converts, not just whether it compiles.

What You'll Get

  • Starting pay of $2,500/month, as a full-time employee.
  • Your work in front of real customers immediately, across multiple brands.
  • A dedicated designer to partner with, so you're building good designs instead of guessing at them.
  • Work alongside our CTO, company executives, and other developers. No layers, no politics.
  • A warm, close-knit remote team that actually likes working together.
  • A fully paid-for, one-week annual trip across the world to meet with the team.

Most frontend developers spend their careers implementing someone else's ticket inside someone else's design system. This is a chance to build the frontend practice for a high-volume ecommerce company from the ground up. We can't wait to work with you.

Is This Role Right for You?

This role probably won't suit you if you need a complete spec for every page before you start, or if you'd rather perfect one thing a month than ship good work every week. You'll build fast alongside a designer, make your own calls when a mockup doesn't cover a screen size or edge case, and stay involved after launch to see how the page performs. You don't need to be a designer, but you do need an eye for design and care about how the finished page looks and whether it converts.

Hiring Process

Shortlisted candidates will complete a paid trial project. You'll build a real page from a design and improve one of our internal tools working only from a description of what it needs to do, the same way you would on the job. We're hiring this role alongside the designer you'll be working with.

How to Apply

Submit your CV and a portfolio link along with short, specific answers to the questions in our application form. We read every answer. Concrete details about what you did stand out; polished generalities don't.

  1. Tell us about something you've struggled with at work and how you overcame it.
  2. Tell us about a time you solved a business problem with your work. How did you decide what to build or design (or not)?
  3. How does AI fit into your workflow today? Give one example where it helped you, and one where it got something wrong and how you caught it.

Optional (but they get your application reviewed first):

  • Intro Loom (under 3 minutes): Tell us a bit about yourself, what you're looking for, and why this role.
  • Project Loom (under 5 minutes): Walk us through a project you're proud of: what it solved, what you built or designed, and what you'd do differently. No script or editing needed.

You can send your application via Linkedin or email - lauren@raicom.co.

Please make sure anyone with the link can view your Looms.
