About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a highly technical, international team focused on building scalable data and measurement solutions used by global enterprise organizations.

This role offers the opportunity to work on complex backend systems, large-scale data integrations, and cloud-native platforms that process and analyze high-volume datasets.

You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining distributed services, APIs, and data pipelines while contributing to architectural decisions and the ongoing evolution of the platform. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, takes ownership of outcomes, and thrives in a collaborative, remote-first environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and data integration services.
• Build cloud-native solutions supporting analytics, measurement, and reporting platforms.
• Develop and maintain APIs, distributed systems, and data processing pipelines.
• Integrate with external platforms, data sources, and enterprise-grade systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional, international engineering teams.
• Contribute to system architecture, scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Promote engineering best practices, code quality, automated testing, and operational excellence.
• Participate in technical discussions, mentor team members, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software engineering.
• Strong Java development skills.
• Working knowledge of Python and the ability to maintain existing Python services.
• Experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems and cloud-native applications.
• Strong understanding of API design and system integration.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern software delivery practices.
• Demonstrated ownership, autonomy, and strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Spring Framework or Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with data platforms such as Databricks, Apache Spark, or Hive.
• Experience building or maintaining large-scale data pipelines and working with object storage solutions (e.g., Amazon S3 or Azure Data Lake Storage).
• Experience working with microservices-based architectures.
