We are looking for a creative Unity Animator who understands animation beyond just creating keyframes — someone who can bring characters, UI, objects, and game experiences to life inside Unity.

What You’ll Do

• Create and implement 2D animations in Unity for games and interactive applications.

• Animate characters, props, UI elements, environments, and game objects.

• Work with Unity Animator, Animation, Timeline and related systems.

• Create smooth idle, walk, run, jump, attack, reaction and interaction animations.

• Implement animation state machines and transitions.

• Work with programmers and designers to integrate animations into gameplay.

• Optimize animations for mobile and web platforms.

• Create animations using Sprite Sheets, skeletal animation or Unity’s 2D animation tools.

• Use DOTween for UI and object-based motion where appropriate.

• Create polished UI transitions, feedback animations and micro-interactions.

• Debug animation issues and improve animation performance.

• Maintain organized animation controllers, clips and assets.

• Participate in game/product development from prototype to final release.

Required Skills

• 1–2 years of professional experience with Unity animation.

• Strong understanding of Unity Animator and Animation systems.

• Good knowledge of 2D animation principles.

• Experience with:

• Unity 2D

• Animator Controller

• Animation Clips

• Sprite Sheets

• Animation State Machines

• Timeline

• UI Animation

• DOTween

• Basic understanding of C# and Unity scripting.

• Understanding of animation timing, easing, anticipation, squash & stretch, follow-through and secondary motion.

• Ability to work with existing art assets and prepare them for animation.

• Good understanding of mobile optimization.

Good to Have

• Experience with Unity 2D Animation / 2D IK.

• Experience with Spine, DragonBones or similar skeletal animation tools.

• Experience with Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop or Blender.

• Experience creating animations for kids’ games or educational applications.

• Experience with UI/UX animation and interactive experiences.

• Understanding of Unity’s Canvas/UI system.

• Basic knowledge of Git/GitHub.

• Experience publishing or optimizing games for Android/WebGL.

Nice Challenge for Applicants

As part of the interview process, candidates may be asked to create a small Unity animation test, such as:

Animate a 2D character performing an idle → jump → land → idle sequence and implement it inside Unity with proper Animator transitions.

The test will focus on animation quality, Unity implementation, polish and problem-solving, not just artistic ability.

Compensation
