Position Overview

At Quire, we are more than advisors—we are builders, innovators, and partners in transformation. We seek a Director of Marketing & Communications who will take what’s already been built — from positioning to case studies — and push it forward through high-quality execution across digital, print, and experiential channels. You’ll lead the charge on content strategy, oversee visual and editorial refinement of our materials, identify valuable marketing opportunities (like events, sponsorships, or PR), and ensure everything is tightly aligned with our client-facing goals. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can seamlessly toggle between big-picture thinking and tactical delivery.

You are adept at refining and enhancing existing strategies and materials, not reinventing them. You combine strategic thinking with strong execution skills, and you approach your work with professionalism, attention to detail, and a low-ego, collaborative mindset. You thrive when delivering high-quality, impactful work in a fast-moving environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • This position is paid hourly as a 1099 contractor.
  • This position is remote, with potential travel requirements.
  • Compensation for this role is based on experience and ranges from $45-65/hr which is the annual salary equivalent of 93,000-130,000/year. We will pay a premium for candidates with extensive experience in finance or private equity.
  • This opportunity is a contract consultative position.  Flexible work schedule and ability to work some nights and weekends may be needed.
  • Candidates must be available during normal business hours, with flexibility for distributed timezones.
  • Due to the consultative nature of our business, candidates can expect to work anywhere from 10-40 hrs/ week depending on the needs of this business.

Quire offers above-market compensation to individuals who maintain the highest standards, possess consummate professional expertise, with all compensation marked-to-market using third-party salary and contractor platforms; those who exceed average experience or efficiency can expect a material premium to market rates.

Candidates must be top performers with a strong work ethic and be able to perform in a fast-paced environment. Enthusiasm for learning will be critical to your success.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Translate our established positioning, business plans and case studies into a cohesive, actionable marketing roadmap across digital and offline channels.
  • Shepherd and improve existing materials — from pitch decks to overviews and case studies — making them more beautiful, client-facing, and on-brand.
  • Lead and oversee our content strategy, surfacing insights from internal documents to drive social media posts, thought pieces, and marketing assets.
  • Coordinate with designers, writers, and vendors to execute quickly and with high attention to detail.
  • Identify tactical marketing opportunities, including relevant conferences, industry dinners, and sponsorships where our presence will drive business value.
  • Partner with leadership on lightweight PR initiatives, targeted campaigns, and communications touchpoints — without getting stuck in theoretical "brand strategy."
  • Ensure all outputs align with our identity as a high-end, client-driven, discreet advisory group — quality over volume, elegance over flash.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university in a relevant field
  • 8–12+ years in strategic marketing, brand strategy, or growth marketing in a consulting, agency, or founder-facing role.
  • Strong project planning skills — able to run lightweight sprints and translate high-level ideas into action
  • Experience with content marketing, event strategy, and social media campaign development
  • Excellent communicator — both internally and externally — with an eye for storytelling and messaging
  • Familiarity with tools like Notion, Monday.com, Google Workspace, Slack, Figma, Canva, etc.
  • Experience sourcing and managing external vendors and freelancers
  • Thoughtful and resourceful — you know how to get things done scrappily without sacrificing quality
  • Bonus: Experience working with early-stage teams or founder-led businesses
