The Senior Director of Marketing Operations will be a strategic and operational leader, responsible for enabling marketing effectiveness through smart process design, optimized resource management, and disciplined execution. You will play a critical role in driving transparency, accountability, and alignment across all marketing functions.

Reporting directly to the SVP of Corporate and Demand Marketing, you will work cross-functionally to ensure marketing operations are efficient, data-informed, and tightly connected to Quest Software’s broader business goals. This role is for a collaborative problem-solver who can lead with influence, implement with precision, and support a culture of clarity and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership:Oversee day-to-day operations across the marketing organization, ensuring visibility into workflows, project timelines, and deliverables. Help the team scale by building repeatable, sustainable processes.
• Drive Transparency & Accountability:Establish clear operational frameworks, reporting cadences, and communication structures to ensure all stakeholders—from marketing team members to executive leadership—have visibility into goals, progress, blockers, and outcomes.
• Process Optimization:Continuously assess and improve marketing processes and governance models to support agility, predictability, and performance.
• Marketing Technology (MarTech):Evaluate and manage the marketing tech stack, ensuring the team has the right tools to drive efficiency, collaboration, and measurement. Partner closely with IT to advocate for marketing-specific needs and oversee implementation and upgrades.
• Project & Resource Management:Lead marketing project planning and resource allocation, aligning capacity with strategic priorities. Ensure effective traffic management, scheduling, and delivery across key initiatives.
• Website Operations:Oversee the operational management of the Quest website, ensuring content updates, campaign integration, and platform performance are aligned with marketing goals. Collaborate with digital, content, and IT teams to drive optimization and scalability.
• Budget Oversight:Own and manage the global marketing budget—including planning, forecasting, tracking, and reporting. Serve as the key liaison with Finance to maintain clarity and accountability for all marketing spend.
• Team Leadership & Development:Lead and mentor a high-performing operations team. Create a culture that values ownership, transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Cross-functional Collaboration:Build strong relationships across marketing, sales, product, finance, and IT. Ensure operations facilitate, rather than hinder, progress toward shared business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in marketing operations or creative operations leadership roles, ideally within B2B SaaS or tech environments.
• Proven experience managing marketing budgets and owning financial processes in close partnership with Finance.
• Expertise in MarTech, project management platforms, campaign tracking tools, and CRM systems
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams, building processes, and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
