The data scientist is responsible for leveraging advanced data analysis, machine learning and statistical models to solve critical cybersecurity challenges, drive innovation and improve decision-making across the organization.

This role involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets, developing predictive models and communicating findings to stakeholders to support strategic cybersecurity and modernization efforts.

Qualifications are as follows:

1. Minimum of three years of experience as a data scientist, with at least one year of that experience working with cybersecurity data sets

2. Strong analytic background and knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP),

3. Extensive experience with Python and data science libraries including Pandas, NumPy, and TensorFlow.

4. Experience with Splunk, SPL, and the Splunk Machine Learning Toolkit

5. Deep understanding of statistics and analysis.

6. Skilled in artificial intelligence and machine learning.

7. Ability to code in multiple languages.

8. Knowledge of databases, data structures, and data architecture.

9. Excellent communications skills – both verbal and non-verbal including the ability to make presentations and deliver complex quantitative analyses in a clear, concise and manner.

10. MS Office Automation Skills.

11. Self-starter requiring limited direction and supervision.

12. Strong attention to detail.

13. Ability to work in a team environment.

14. Experience with data visualization tools.

15. Experience with data transformation using common programming tools.

16. Experience applying statistical analysis to large data sets.

17. Bachelor’s Degree six (6) years’ experience in the data science field.

18. Proficiency in mathematical modeling including comprehension of theory, modeling/identification strategies and limitations/pitfalls.

19. Familiarity with the RMF process.

20. Experience with Relational Database Management System.

21. Experience with Open-Source Framework
