Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and independent Website Manager specialising in Shopify to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and updating our eCommerce website and platforms with a strong focus on optimising customer experience and conversions.
Job Scope
- Product Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our Shopify store, as well as others when activated, including product updates, content management, and troubleshooting.
- Product Updates: Manage the upload, organisation, and maintenance of product listings, ensuring the accuracy of product descriptions, images, prices, and inventory levels.
- Content Management: Implement content updates across the website, such as blog posts, landing pages, promotional banners, and seasonal campaigns.
- App Ecosystem: Recommend, utilise and manage Shopify apps and integrations to improve website functionality, customer experience, and increase sales. This includes managing apps for SEO, analytics, reviews, email marketing, upselling, and more.
- UX/UI Optimization: Collaborate with UX/UI designers and developers to improve the website's layout and customer journey, ensuring a seamless and intuitive shopping experience across devices.
- Product Performance Monitoring: Analyze product traffic, conversion rates, and customer behaviour to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- SEO & Analytics: Optimize on-site content for SEO, ensuring that product pages, collections, and blogs are search-engine friendly. Regularly monitor performance using tools like Google Analytics, Shopify reports, and other tracking platforms.
- A/B Testing: Conduct A/B tests on product pages, navigation, and promotional offers to determine best practices for maximizing conversions.
- Customer Support Integration: Oversee the implementation and management of chatbots, FAQ sections, and other customer support features on Shopify to enhance the customer experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and development teams to ensure smooth alignment between campaigns and the website’s features.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 3+ years of experience managing eCommerce websites on Shopify.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in Shopify platform management, including managing, editing and customising product data, page updates, third-party apps and integrations.
- App Ecosystem Knowledge: Extensive experience working with the Shopify app ecosystem to implement apps that drive traffic, improve conversion rates, and enhance the customer experience.
- Web Analytics: Strong understanding of web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Shopify reports) for tracking performance and making data-driven decisions.
- SEO: Knowledge of SEO best practices to ensure website visibility and high search rankings.
- Understanding of UX/UI: Ability to collaborate on design and UX to create user-friendly experiences.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in managing product listings, inventory, and web content to ensure accuracy.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Shopify platform.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently, meeting deadlines consistently.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Shopify Product Management tools, systems for theme and page updates, understanding of Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with digital marketing strategies, including email marketing, PPC, and social media.
- Experience with A/B testing platforms and conversion rate optimization tools.
