Purple Eye is a boutique technology consulting and talent acquisition firm based in Mississauga, ON, Canada. We specialize in recruiting top-tier professionals in IT, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, AI/ML, Project Management, and other technical roles to support government and commercial clients nationwide.

We are seeking a Web Designer to support an anticipated website design and development project with one of our clients. This role requires a creative professional with strong visual design sensibilities and a deep understanding of web usability, layout structure, and branding alignment. You will be responsible for translating client needs and project goals into polished, modern, and user-friendly web designs.

You’ll collaborate closely with UI/UX developers, business consultants, and full-stack developers to bring design concepts to life while ensuring accessibility and responsiveness across devices.

Responsibilities & Expectations

Design and develop visual concepts and layouts for responsive websites.
Create wireframes, mockups, page templates, and visual assets for development hand-off.
Ensure consistency in brand identity, typography, color schemes, and layout structures.
Work collaboratively with UI/UX, content, and development teams to align creative output with technical feasibility.
Implement accessibility and responsive design best practices in all deliverables.
Apply feedback from stakeholders and iterate on design assets accordingly.
Stay up to date with current design trends, tools, and technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

5–10 years of experience in web design for digital or client-based projects.
Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality web design work, ideally including public-facing websites.
Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, or Sketch.
Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML/CSS) and ability to communicate effectively with developers.
Experience designing for CMS platforms like WordPress, Drupal, or Umbraco.
Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG/AODA) and responsive design principles.
Ability to interpret business and user requirements into creative visual solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
