We're seeking a seasoned Social Media Manager who will significantly elevate our brand presence, drive meaningful engagement, and foster a vibrant online community across multiple platforms.

Who You Are

You're a passionate, experienced social media strategist looking for a long-term, full-time career role. You have an authentic interest in non-toxic, plant-based beauty and wellness, combined with an exceptional ability to create engaging content and rapidly respond to social interactions. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel in storytelling, and deeply understand Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, and X (Twitter). Your experience with TikTok Shop and hands-on content creation sets you apart from others who merely "manage" social media.

You must be fully available for an 8-hour workday, with some hours overlapping Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours, attending all scheduled daily and weekly meetings. Although we’re hiring on a freelance/contract basis, you'll perform as a full-time employee, strictly adhering to company policies, including no external freelance work during company hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Content Planning

  • Develop and execute a strategic social media plan aligned with our brand goals.

  • Prepare and maintain a comprehensive monthly content calendar covering daily posts and stories on Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, etc.

  • Use analytics to continuously optimize content performance and audience engagement.

  • Content Creation & Design

  • Lead the creation of high-quality, visually appealing content including graphics, short-form videos, and carousels primarily using Canva.

  • Ensure every piece of content aligns with platform best practices and our brand aesthetic.

  • Community Management & Rapid Engagement

  • Actively monitor and promptly respond to comments, DMs, and inquiries across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, and X.

  • Engage authentically and rapidly with tagged content and user interactions, fostering strong brand relationships and loyalty.

  • Handle customer service messages via TikTok Shop swiftly, ensuring excellent customer experience.

  • TikTok Shop Management

  • Manage TikTok Shop daily orders, ensuring prompt shipping by coordinating with Shopify.

  • Regularly update tracking information and inventory quantities directly on the TikTok platform.

  • Analytics & Performance Optimization

  • Regularly track, analyze, and report key metrics to measure the effectiveness of social media efforts.

  • Deliver detailed weekly and monthly reports, providing insights and actionable recommendations.

  • Execute A/B testing to enhance content engagement and conversions.

  • Collaboration & Influencer Outreach

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with influencers, UGC creators, and brand ambassadors aligned with our values.

  • Support influencer-driven campaigns and collaborations alongside the broader marketing team.

  • Trendspotting & Innovation

  • Keep ahead of evolving social media trends, algorithm changes, and industry developments.

  • Experiment with innovative content formats and emerging platform features to enhance organic reach and brand storytelling.

  • Daily & Weekly Processes

  • Create and schedule daily high-quality feed and story posts in line with the marketing calendar.

  • Rapidly respond to IG DMs, comments, and engage proactively with tagged IG content.

  • Actively manage TikTok comments, messages, and customer service inquiries via TikTok Shop.

  • Conduct daily checks on TikTok Shop orders, coordinate shipping, and update tracking and inventory information.

  • Respond timely to Facebook messages and comments.

  • Consistently review and optimize content performance post-publication on all platforms.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of proven experience as a Social Media Manager, specifically with Instagram and TikTok.
  • Demonstrable success managing TikTok Shop, including hands-on content creation, community engagement, and shop operations.
  • Proficiency with Canva or similar tools and scheduling platforms (e.g., Hootsuite).
  • Strong familiarity with social media analytics and SEO principles.
  • Exceptional storytelling and content creation skills.
  • Excellent, swift communication and community engagement abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the clean beauty, health, or wellness industry.
