As a Design Lead, you will not only design but also guide and mentor a team of 4–5 designers while shaping the creative direction of one of the client’s major projects. The role requires strong hands-on skills in branding, UI, and digital design, paired with leadership to ensure the highest quality of delivery. You will work closely with UK stakeholders, participate in client presentations, and act as the creative anchor, ensuring alignment between design intent and business goals. This position combines craft and leadership: you will inspire the team, set standards, and drive impactful outcomes across visual campaigns, websites, and brand activations.
Your Impact
- You will lead a small team of designers, mentoring them while ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of projects
- You will define and communicate the visual direction of projects, shaping ideas into impactful design outcomes
- You will apply deep expertise in branding, UI, and visual storytelling to craft rich digital experiences using typography, imagery, illustration, and photography
- You will collaborate directly with clients and confidently present design solutions that connect with strategic objectives
- You will ensure design consistency, scalability, and usability across multiple channels and brand touchpoints
- You will work in an agile environment, fostering collaboration with developers, strategists, and other disciplines to achieve business goals
- You will act as the bridge between creative vision and technical execution, ensuring every deliverable reflects best-in-class design practices
Your Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience as a UI/Visual Designer with a strong background in branding and digital campaigns
- C1 English Level (9/10), both written and oral with experience working with international stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership in managing and mentoring a team of designers, ensuring growth and delivery excellence
- Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in composition, typography, imagery, and digital product design
- Ability to balance UX awareness with a focus on visual/UI excellence
- Confident presentation skills in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate design intent to clients and stakeholders
- Experience working in agile environments, collaborating across disciplines in fast-paced projects
- Proficiency with Figma as a core design tool
Set Yourself Apart With
- Hands-on skills with After Effects or other motion design tools to enhance storytelling
- Experience leading omnichannel or CPG-related projects where brand storytelling is critical
- Ability to build or contribute to design systems, including creating libraries and reusable components
