UX Engineer (Frontend) - Costa Rica

Overview | We are seeking a talented and passionate UX Engineer to join our product team. This role is a critical blend of strategic User Experience (UX) Design and Front-End Development. You will be an integral part of our product development process, collaborating closely with Product Managers and engineers to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that directly drive business outcomes. Your primary focus will be enhancing the experience for our professional platforms, CE Broker and Evercheck.

What You'll Do

This role requires a blend of design leadership and hands-on coding to build high-quality, seamless user experiences.

• Lead Full Application Design: Own the full application design, redesign, and optimization of the CE Broker and Evercheck platforms from concept through deployment.
• User-Centered Strategy: Collaborate with Product Managers to conduct user research, analyze user needs, and translate those insights into actionable, high-impact design solutions.
• Design & Prototyping: Create clear wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for both web and mobile applications using modern design tools.
• Front-End Engineering: Develop production-ready front-end code for user interfaces using modern frameworks like React and styling utilities like Tailwind CSS.
• Design System Contribution: Actively contribute to the development, maintenance, and governance of our Design System, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all products.
• Accessibility & Standards: Ensure all designs and front-end code adhere strictly to accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices.

What You'll Bring

• 4+ years of professional experience as a UX Designer or UX Engineer with a proven portfolio showcasing successful product delivery.
• High proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma and experience leading full application redesign projects.
• Demonstrated ability to write and deploy production-level front-end code using React and Tailwind CSS.
• A strong understanding of product strategy and how UX design drives measurable business results (e.g., conversion, adoption).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Stakeholders).
• High proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required for daily collaboration with global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing for healthcare or regulated industries.
• Familiarity with compliance platforms or complex professional applications.
• Experience with advanced prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Bolt.new).

__Full-time positions are scheduled to work 40 hours per week, M-F unless required otherwise by projects. Part-time positions are scheduled to work a maximum of 30 hours per week.
