Senior Embedded Software Engineer (Remote)

Job Description

We are currently seeking to hire a Senior Embedded Software Engineer. The project is for a PC application for a medical device system. You will be working on the back-end of the application in Python. The application will run on Linux or Windows IOT.

Responsibilities:

• Develop backend to application in Python.
• Create unit tests.
• Work in the Electron framework on both Windows and Linux
• Document all programming tasks and procedures
• Follow Quality Management processes.

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years previous experience in related software development
• Experience in communications over USB, WiFi, sockets, shared objects/DLLs
• Expert knowledge of Python
• Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other scientific discipline.
• Understanding of cybersecurity concepts.

Nice to Haves:

• Cybersecurity Expertise
• Medical Device experience
• Knowledge of communication with hospital systems over HL7
• React JS/Typescript experience.
