_The Manager, Marketing Operations plays a strategic operational leadership role in leading creative operations and event operations for critical marketing initiatives. This includes streamlining marketing processes, enhancing productivity, advancing marketing priorities, and driving innovation. This position ensures efficient marketing delivery, optimized resource utilization, and measurable business impact by leveraging advanced tools, including AI-driven technologies. The Manager collaborates across teams to ensure the right work is prioritized and executed correctly, driving the most value through data-driven strategies, fostering creativity and operational excellence while aligning marketing initiatives with organizational goals.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
- Lead creative studio operations and serve as key partner to our Creative Director to guide work with in-house creative team and external vendors
- Event operations (For PMI flagship events including Global Summit and Global Summit Series)
- Manage event vendors in support of Event Experience
- Cross org project management both inside marketing (Event Marketing/Sponsorship) and other stakeholder groups including integrated project planning, Executive update cadence, etc.
- Lead Global Summit marketing participation/orchestration
- Event Budget Management: Support Director in managing the marketing budget tracking and financial accruals in partnership with Finance. Monitor budget utilization, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost-effective strategies. Manage Jira tickets and procurement requirements to ensure a streamlined and disciplined approach to marketing spend.
- Streamline Processes: Develop and implement and look for ways to continuously improve efficient workflows and cross-functional coordination to produce high-quality, brand-compliant marketing campaign assets.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with various departments on critical business initiatives, ensuring alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- People Manager: Provide daily direction, mentorship, and support to two direct reports, ensuring alignment with team goals while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Conduct regular check-ins, offer feedback, and drive performance management, including goal setting, evaluations, and career development.
Role Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field; MBA preferred
- Experience in a strategic and creative environment working with internal resources, as well as external agencies, contractors, and vendors.
- 10+ years of experience in project management within the marketing space
- Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, and negotiation skills
- PMP certified preferred or demonstrated pursuit of PMP and qualifications to test in year.
- Project Management: Lead and coordinate multiple creative projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met; utilize data-driven tools to track progress and resource allocation.
- Creative Process Optimization: Streamline workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and continuously improve based on performance metrics.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Align creative efforts with business goals through partnerships with marketing, sales, and product teams; manage relationships with external vendors to deliver quality results on time and within budget.
- Event Production: Proven ability to bring together stakeholders, teams, and deliverables to deliver a world class experience managing resources, budgets, risks, and resource allocations.
- Quality Control: Ensure all outputs meet brand standards through rigorous review processes and quality assurance measures.
- Align with Strategy: Ensure all creative and event op outputs align with strategic objectives, effectively managing resources to maximize impact.
- Effective Communication: Ability to adapt verbal and written communication to suit audiences at various levels and foster productive collaboration through facilitation, ensuring alignment and mutual understanding of outcomes, risks, and next steps.
- Some travel, possibly up to 15%, conditions permitting. Requirements include ability to travel nationally and globally and may occur over weekends or holidays
