As a senior or lead data scientist on the Telematics team, you’ll analyze the driving data to learn more about customer driving behavior and it's predictiveness to insurance risk, and other targets. In this role, you’ll improve the algorithm and product design, create new ways to use telematics data, support the regulatory responses, incorporate additional data sources into the program, and monitor the performance of the Telematics business. In addition, you’ll research external impacts to the program and support the research dataset.

Must-have Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Statistical/Quantitative Modeling and/or Machine Learning tools (R, Python, etc.) and in using various database tools (e.g. Hadoop, SQL) processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- {OR} Bachelor's degree with quantitative focus in Econometrics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science or related field (e.g. Mathematics) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Statistical/Quantitative Modeling and/or Machine Learning tools (R, Python, etc.) and in using various database tools (e.g. Hadoop, SQL) processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- {OR} Master's degree or higher with quantitative focus in Econometrics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science or related field (e.g. Mathematics)
Preferred Skills
- Solid foundation in Data Science and Machine Learning
- Good knowledge in cloud systems such as AWS for big data needs and experience working with big data and programs in the CLI (Command Line Interface)
- Familiar with Data Science tools such as Python, GIT, and GNU
- Experience in discovering the root causes of problems and identifying solutions, and ability to present results in a simple and clear manner and strong attention to detail
- A background in physics or applied mathematics
Compensation
- $87,200 - $160,400/year depending on job level
- Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 30%-40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance and job level
