Job Description:

Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer (Tableau)

Shift Timings: 2 PM- 11 PM IST

Location: PAN INDIA Remote, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Pune, Work from Home

Experience Required: 6 - 9 Years

The role of the Tableau Developer will be to manage the lifecycle of Tableau dashboards, including business requirements gathering, functional specification write-ups, prototyping, development, quality testing, user acceptance testing, roll-out and post-launch enhancements implementation. As a Tableau Developer, you should have a demonstrated ability to design engaging and interactive business insights dashboards using Tableau and possess the knowledge and experience on data visualization best practices.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Develop, maintain, and manage interactive, advanced Tableau dashboards and other BI solutions.
• Ability to query and display large data sets while maximizing the performance, and translate abstract data into highly visual and easily-digestible.
• Performing and documenting data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design.
• Create interactive filters, parameters and calculations for enhancing dashboards and worksheets in Tableau.
• Have the confidence to work cross-functionally with various departments including business stakeholders and technical personnel to exchange ideas.
• Must have excellent verbal communications skills and documentation skills to maintain work flows and dashboard functionality.
• Work with Infrastructure teams to monitor, maintain, and upgrade a Tableau Server environment.
• Resolve support tickets related to Tableau reports.
• Ensure consistency by adhering to a set of software coding and style guides and work through iterative review cycles to deliver results that exceed user expectations.
• Working knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture.
• Ability to analyze the usage of the dashboard and archive/delete them as per retention policy.
• Ability to work with multiple Data Connections using different sources.
• Preprocess data through Tableau Data Prep.

Minimum Qualification:

• 5+ years of Tableau development experience.
• 2 years of Tableau prep experience.
• 2+ years experience using SAP, SAP BW, HANA, AWS Data Lake as source of data for Tableau dashboards.
• Strong documentation skills.

Technologies:

• Tableau 2025.1 or newer & Tableau Prep
• Experience with SAP, BW, Xtract Universal, AWS Data Lake data sources a plus
• Experience with embedding SQL and Python (TabPy) a plus
