Technical Program Manager | Infrastructure Network Engineering | Fully Remote, United States

A global organisation is looking for a Technical Program Manager to own the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure network programmes across one of the most operationally critical environments in the world.

You will run deployment and retrofit programmes from initial planning through to handoff, coordinating across network engineering, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure management and facility network infrastructure lands on time, on spec, and ready to operate.

The programmes you will own are the backbone of data centre resilience.

Not the production network - the infrastructure that lets engineers monitor, manage, control, and recover everything else. Out-of-band connectivity, facility networks, disaster recovery backbone, device management networks, and the security layer that protects them all. When something goes wrong in a data centre, these are the systems that make recovery possible.

If you have managed large-scale infrastructure network deployments, understand the difference between a plan of record and what actually happens on site, and know how to hold vendors and partners accountable without burning the relationship, this role is built for you.

What you will own

• Own end-to-end programme delivery across network deployments globally. New builds, retrofits, and end-of-life hardware replacements. You set the programme plan, define milestones, manage the critical path, and hold every stakeholder accountable to it.
• Translate strategic roadmaps into executable delivery plans. You will lead H1 and H2 planning cycles and turn a twelve-month supply execution plan into a weekly operating reality across vendors, engineers, and operations teams.
• Drive hardware and supply chain accountability. You will ensure BOMs are ordered correctly and on time, track hardware deliveries to site, manage Hardware Need-By Dates across multiple internal teams, and identify long-lead procurement risks before they become programme blockers.
• Manage cross-functional dependencies across network engineering, supply chain, security, and operations. You will not wait for problems to surface. You will find them early, escalate fast, and drive resolution.
• Establish and maintain programme governance. Programme trackers, status decks, risk registers, executive reporting, and lessons learned reviews are yours. Leadership should never be surprised by what is happening in your programme.

What you need

• Proven programme management rigour in a complex infrastructure environment. You have managed multi-workstream programmes with hard deadlines, held vendors and engineering teams accountable, and made decisions under pressure when ambiguity was high and the schedule could not slip.
• Hands-on experience managing infrastructure network deployments in a data centre or mission-critical environment. You understand what it takes to get management and facility network infrastructure from design through commissioning and operational handoff. You know what breaks, why it breaks, and how to prevent it.
• Technical fluency across management and operational network infrastructure. You do not need to be a network engineer but you need to hold your own in conversations about out-of-band connectivity, facility networks, device management, and DR backbone architecture. You ask the right questions and recognise when the answers do not add up.
• Hardware and BOM management experience. You have managed equipment procurement at scale - tracking lead times, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring the right hardware is on site when the programme needs it. End-of-life and end-of-support retrofit experience is a strong plus.
• Vendor and contractor accountability. You have managed multi-vendor delivery environments where no single team owns the entire critical path. You know how to keep external partners aligned, escalate when needed, and maintain the relationship through difficult conversations.
• Risk identification and programme health management. You maintain a live risk register, proactively surface issues to leadership, and run lessons learned reviews that actually change how the next programme runs.

What will set you apart

• Prior experience managing infrastructure network deployments inside a hyperscaler or large-scale data centre environment.
• Familiarity with out-of-band management networks, facility systems including power and environmental monitoring, disaster recovery backbone networking, or PON technology in a data centre context.
• Experience managing the full hardware lifecycle from BOM generation and procurement through delivery, staging, installation, and decommissioning including end-of-life replacement programmes.
• Background in supply chain coordination or capacity planning for infrastructure programmes where long-lead hardware is on the critical path.
• Experience building and running a Tactical Plan of Record or equivalent twelve-month supply execution planning process.
• Phased rollout experience across new build, retrofit, and end-of-life replacement programme types simultaneously across multiple global sites.
