Software Engineer

The Company Television Production Technology team builds innovative technology solutions that support production, production finance, and business affairs across multiple studios and platforms. We partner with stakeholders to solve business problems in ways that improve operational efficiency and deepen insight into how our productions run.

We're looking for a Software Engineer with Airtable development experience to help support and grow our suite of production tools.

Location: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Airtable bases, interfaces, and automations

• Develop scripts and integrations that connect Airtable to internal tools and third-party systems via APIs and webhooks

• Support the development and maintenance of cloud and SaaS-based applications

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within Airtable bases, automations, and integrations

• Partner with stakeholders and developers to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions

• Document system architecture, workflows, and processes for internal reference

We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong software development fundamentals and experience building scalable integrations and backend solutions. This role will focus on leveraging Airtable as a platform while developing technical solutions that connect systems, automate workflows, and support complex business processes.

This is not an Airtable configuration or interface-design role. The ideal professional will have strong programming skills and experience integrating Airtable with external applications, databases, and services.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience developing in Airtable, including bases, interfaces, and automations/scripting

• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., JavaScript, Python)

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work closely with both developers and business stakeholders

• Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to assess technical issues and determine their impact

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud or SaaS application development

• Proficiency in Python and/or Node.js

• Experience with a relational database (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar)

• Experience building web apps using Angular, Spring Boot, or similar

• Experience building serverless services in AWS

• Experience with Snowflake

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) and agentic or multi-step AI workflows

• Exposure to Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar frameworks for connecting tools and data to AI agents

• Experience working at a major studio or in the entertainment/media industry
