About the Role
Our client is seeking a Sales Manager / Senior Sales Engineer to lead business growth in the Philippines building materials and hardware market. The role focuses on acquiring and managing high-value clients such as engineering contractors, distributors, and property developers. You will execute targeted sales strategies, drive revenue growth, and deliver market insights to support strategic decisions.
The annual sales target for this role is USD 3 million, with a performance-based compensation package that includes salary, bonuses, and commission.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Client Acquisition (50%)
- Research market trends, customer segments, and competitor activities.
- Develop strategies to expand market presence in the Philippines.
- Identify and engage prospective clients through industry channels and networks.
Sales Execution & Order Management (30%)
- Lead commercial negotiations and close profitable contracts.
- Coordinate order fulfillment and ensure timely delivery.
- Resolve customer issues by collaborating with technical teams.
- Ensure timely collections of accounts receivable.
Client Relationship Management (10%)
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships.
- Provide ongoing consultation and updates on new products.
- Collect feedback to improve offerings and market competitiveness.
Sales Reporting & Analysis (10%)
- Prepare detailed sales reports with performance and market analysis.
- Share insights and recommendations with the General Manager.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business, Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in building materials and hardware in the Philippines.
- Strong network and existing client relationships with decision-makers in the industry.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Skills:
- Deep knowledge of building materials and hardware products.
- Strong negotiation, sales, and client management abilities.
- Proficiency in English and Filipino (Tagalog).
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Analytical and market-driven mindset with problem-solving skills.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to travel frequently within the Philippines.
- Strong sense of accountability, adaptability, and results orientation.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-border teams.
Preference will be given to candidates who can speak Chinese.
