The role: Senior Data Scientist – Privacy & Compliance

Location: Fully remote within the London / South East UK regions

Salary: £130k basic + benefits (PAYE/paid weekly/within IR35)

Contract: 12 months - to start ASAP (max 4 weeks notice)

Hours: Mon to Fri: 40 per week

You'll be fully clear to work in the UK without the need of relocation / sponsorship

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join a high-impact team focused on privacy, compliance, and risk analytics. This is not a machine learning (ML) role — candidates with a strong background in data science within banking, fraud, or risk analytics are required.

You’ll work on privacy-related measurement and compliance projects, helping to define metrics, improve transparency, and support regulatory initiatives. Your work will directly impact key business strategies, ensuring data is processed responsibly while allowing teams to move faster and stay compliant.

Essential Skills & Experience:

✅ A minimum of 8+ years’ experience with SQL & Python (or R) and in a similar Data Scientist position

✅ Strong stakeholder management & communication skills

✅ Proven ability to define metrics, conduct analytics, and drive insights for compliance or risk-related work

✅ Background in banking, fraud analytics, or risk – understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g. GDPR)

Very good to have:

➕ Experience in risk analytics or compliance within big tech or financial services

➕ Familiarity with privacy policy, customer analytics, or regulatory reporting

➕ Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a relevant technical field
