About the Role

Staff Software Engineer to provide technical leadership, drive architectural decisions, and improve developer experience across teams. While this is an individual contributor (IC) role with mentorship responsibilities, it will evolve into a 60-70% IC / 30-40% leadership split, including guiding initiatives, mentoring engineers, and potentially managing up to 6 direct reports.

The ideal candidate will:

• Lead through technical excellence—applying advanced architectural patterns, design principles, and scalable coding practices.
• Drive process improvements—enhancing developer experience, tooling, and cross-team collaboration.

This role is full-stack with a frontend (Angular) lean, but strong backend (Node.js/NestJS/Express) experience is essential. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) concepts (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

• 7+ years of full-stack development, with strong frontend (Angular) and backend (Node.js) expertise.
• Proven track record of leading technical initiatives (architecture, design patterns, system scalability).
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading small teams (formal management not required).
• Deep familiarity with AWS, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks.
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code (IaC) concepts (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
