The Director of Content Marketing will take on a strategic leadership position within the Marketing team at Prime Group Holdings, acting as the primary content creator and chief editor across all channels. You will be responsible for executing our core content marketing initiatives, overseeing content strategy and execution, as well as building and maintaining editorial calendars. You will work on integrated marketing programs and create content for multiple channels. You will partner with the EVP of Marketing to bring the Prime Group brand promise to life across all channels and platforms, elevate the company’s reputation and increase customer engagement with all our audiences.
Essential Responsibilities
- Leading Prime's overall content marketing efforts from strategy to execution for our key audiences: Prime storage customers and prospective tenants, small to medium sized business owners, and institutional investors
- Lead content development and project management to deliver multiple content pieces (including website pages, campaign landing pages, search ads, display ads, printed materials, emails, social media posts, direct mail, video, audio, blogs, sales collateral, reports, presentations), overseeing resourcing, production, and ensuring timely execution
- Plan and execute content marketing strategies to drive growth and expand Prime Storage reputation as a leading self-storage provider
- Working with other Marketing team members, you’ll customize content strategies to meet the unique needs/opportunities of prospective customers, business owners, strategic partners, and media channels as well as optimize for SEO
- Work across teams and key stakeholders to create a plan for relevant content needed to support our strategic objectives. Develop project briefs that translate business objectives to content execution and ensure consistency of our brand voice
- As the company’s chief editor, you serve as the company's brand steward. You will develop and maintain the Prime Group’s verbal brand identity, ensuring a consistent voice, tone, and style across materials and outlets
- Maximize channels of content distribution across social, partners, and media working with other team members. Measure the impact of our content and continually refine it
- Research competitors and products in the self-storage and commercial space to stay relevant.
- Develop investor resources and content designed to attract and nurture new investors including fund materials, sales collateral, articles, educational videos scripts and onboarding materials
- Oversee email marketing content including newsletters, product updates/announcements, and promotions
- Collaborate with an internal design team to create webpages and campaign landing pages to increase overall user engagement and conversions
- Manage Prime Storage and Prime Commercial social media corporate handles, development overall social media strategy, posting schedule and social media calendar
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of content marketing experience
- Excellent writing skills and meticulous, especially as it relates to reviewing and editing your own work and others
- 7+ years’ experience drafting/editing all content types including, but not limited to social copy, blogs, emails, display ads, web pages, presentations, press releases, fund reports, and video scripts
- 5+ years managerial experience, leading or coordinating projects across multiple departments in an organization
- Strong project management skills, with proficiency in tools like Monday.com, Asana or similar. Experience with creative software like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Miro
- Deep understanding of SEO, content marketing, and analytics to inform strategy and measure success
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience crafting compelling narratives for diverse audiences
- Experience in commercial real estate industry or related industries a plus
- Understanding of SEO best-practices
- REITS or private equity investments writing experience a plus
- Creative thinker and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable managing multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Self-motivated and excited to grow as both a marketer and a writer
