Your mission?
The Senior Director of Segment Marketing will lead the development and execution of comprehensive product, customer, and industry solutions and marketing strategies to drive Pricefx market leadership, growth, and retention. This individual will unify, build, and lead modern Product Marketing, Industry Solutions, and Customer Marketing teams, instilling and scaling best practice approaches to each function. The Segment Marketing leader will build strong relationships with cross-functional partners, including Revenue, Product & Engineering, and Ecosystem teams to position Pricefx as the leading choice for pricing software.
The individual will drive the creation of buyer personas, unique selling propositions and scalable content for the market and customer-facing teams, helping to reduce sales cycle times, increase win rates, and demonstrate industry thought leadership. The ideal candidate will be an expert consensus-builder and strategic thinker with deep pricing, technology, and industry knowledge, as well as a proven track record in enterprise B2B SaaS GTM strategies, marketing, and customer-centric solutions..
You will be in charge of…
Product Marketing
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new and existing products and capabilities, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market demands.
- Product Messaging, Positioning & Content: Define and articulate product value propositions, key messaging, and positioning for different market segments. Build a standard set of market-facing resources to help prospects understand Pricefx products and capabilities, including messaging documents, solution overviews, videos, product tours, and more. Team with Growth Marketing team to build product content into campaigns and varying channels/tactics to educate prospects and customers.
- Sales Enablement: Partner with sales teams to develop effective sales tools, training, and collateral that enhance their ability to sell Pricefx solutions.
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Perform research and competitor analysis to inform product positioning, pricing strategies, and product enhancements.
Industry Solutions & Marketing
- Industry Strategy & Marketing: Understand the Pricefx solution within focused industries to identify product-market fit and create differentiated messaging and positioning from the competition. Develop and execute strategies tailored to specific industries, building messaging, content, and pre and post-sales activities that address the unique needs and challenges of each vertical and the varying buying group stakeholders.
- Sales Enablement: Partner with sales teams to develop effective sales tools, training, and collateral that enhance their ability to sell Pricefx solutions.
- External Thought Leadership: Establish Pricefx as a thought leader in assigned vertical segments, identifying key customer needs and market opportunities and translating them into research, insights, white papers, webinars, and speaking engagements that demonstrate the company’s unique position in the market.
- Solution Development: Work with product management, sales, and others to evangelize customer requirements and new growth opportunities in each sub-segment, helping to influence product direction and roadmaps in ways that benefit Pricefx’s target customers.
- Partnerships: Work with Partner teams to leverage varying industry partnerships to enhance market reach, marketing impact, and solution offerings in key sub-segments.
Customer Marketing
- Customer Advocacy: Develop and manage a formal customer advocacy program. Collaborate with the broader organization to recruit customers into the program, create case studies, webinars and other content, and promote customer stories via the web, digital programs, media outreach, speaking engagements and more, helping to drive loyalty, retention and new business.
- Post-Sale Marketing: Design and implement programs that help Customer Success and Services teams scale customer engagement to support adoption, active use, satisfaction, and retention. Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales and Growth Marketing to ensure campaigns drive upselling and cross-sell within the existing customer base.
Leadership
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning. Assess employee performance and consistently offer constructive feedback tailored to individual growth and development and advancement of the functional areas.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, sales, customer success, and other departments to ensure alignment and drive cohesive marketing efforts.
- Performance Measurement: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the team’s initiatives, and adjust strategies as needed.
What should you have to succeed?
- BA/BS degree in business, marketing, software; MBA Preferred.
- You will have a minimum of 15 years of experience in product management and marketing, sales, sales engineering or other leadership positions within a global SaaS company; and minimum 5 years of experience in pricing software and/or in target sub-vertical industries.
- You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technology into meaningful messages for pricing practitioners and C-level audiences alike.
- You will be highly analytical, driven by results, with attention to detail.
- You are comfortable with global scope, crafting messages or engaging with prospects, customers, partners and Pricefx customer-facing teams worldwide
- You have a proven ability to manage complex initiatives that require you to balance workload and focus across multiple areas.
- You hold great problem-solving skills and the ability to manage a team, influence cross-functional teams, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
