About this role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll own features from development through production, working across external integrations, data-heavy algorithms, cross-cutting platform concerns, and user-facing APIs. This role demands someone who thrives in ambiguity, can prioritize effectively in a high-change environment, and enjoys solving problems across any technical domain.

You'll work closely with other engineers, domain leads, directors, and technical product managers. We need someone who can dive into any part of our system and proactively drive improvements with minimal oversight. You'll take full ownership of features from conception through production.

What you will do

• Develop and enhance user-facing APIs and backend services
• Build and maintain integrations with external third-party systems and APIs
• Create custom web applications and specialized workflow tools
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across our full technology stack
• Improve our development infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines, environment management, and system monitoring
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure system reliability and rapid issue resolution

What you will bring

• 6+ years of software development experience with proven ability to work across the full stack
• Strong experience building production APIs and integrating with external systems
• Experience with C# and .NET framework, or strong proficiency in similar statically-typed languages
• Experience with cloud services and modern cloud development practices (Azure preferred)
• Solid understanding of SQL databases and caching technologies (Redis preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-change environments
• Pragmatic approach to problem-solving with strong collaborative instincts
• Quick to ramp up on new systems with an incremental improvement mindset
• Technology-agnostic mindset focused on finding the right solution for each problem
• Full ownership mentality for the software you build and maintain
• Experience with automated testing, code reviews, and version control
• Enthusiasm for leveraging AI-assisted development tools and emerging technologies
• Experience working in regulated industries (healthcare, fintech, etc.) is a plus but not required
• Must have permission to work in the US on a permanent basis

Ideally you’ll also have

• Experience with Go, GraphQL, or healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR)
• Data engineering experience including ETL processes, data quality monitoring, or data ingestion systems
• Advanced DevOps practices including Infrastructure as Code, containerization, and observability tools

Prescryptive is committed to fair pay practices. The projected annual salary for this position is $130,000 to $185,000. When preparing an offer, we consider the candidates resume, experience, interview feedback, internal equity, and location.
