At Presage Technologies, we believe in improving the quality of healthcare while also making it more affordable and accessible. We are aiming to close that gap by developing cutting-edge artificial intelligence and video analytics to transform consumer electronics and mobile phone consumer apps into sophisticated health sensing platforms.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Our Senior Software Engineer will play a key role in advancing our C++ and Android SDK codebase, while contributing to iOS and other parts of the stack as needed. You will collaborate closely with our ML Engineers to develop innovative solutions and tackle complex engineering challenges.

Responsibilities include:

Build and extend core SDK functionality in C++ (with JNI for Android integration)
Develop and maintain Android libraries using NDK, Kotlin, and Gradle
Contribute to sample apps and testing frameworks that showcase SDK integration
Publish SDK updates to app stores and manage versioning
Write Python scripts for automation, debugging, and integration with ML pipelines
Collaborate with ML Engineers to optimize performance across C++/Python code
Participate in raising engineering quality across the team

This is a remote role with the expectation that you will travel for quarterly meetings in the United States. Preference will be given for candidates in the Washington DC Metro Area or St. Louis Metro Area.

You are a highly skilled and adaptable engineer with a strong technical foundation. You thrive on problem-solving and can pick up new tools, languages, and frameworks quickly as the work demands.

To succeed within this role, you should have:

Strong C++ experience
Solid Python scripting experience
Solid understanding of software engineering best practices (version control, testing, CI/CD)

Highly Desirable

Strong Android NDK and SDK experience (Kotlin, Gradle, JNI)
iOS SDK development (Swift, Objective-C)
Familiarity with cross-platform frameworks (React Native, Flutter)
Experience with CI/CD tools, Docker, or AWS services
