Intro And Job Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying applications in our next-gen Data Integrity Suite platform based on k8’s. You will work closely with Software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to develop and deploy data-driven solutions that deliver business value.

Responsibilities And Duties

Design, build, and deploy applications on our next-gen Data Integrity Suite platform, leveraging Kubernetes (K8s).
Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to create and deploy data-driven solutions that deliver business value.
Develop applications using Core Java, Java Microservices, and frameworks like Micronaut, Spring Boot, Akka, and Data Structures.
Utilize Docker and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker Compose, etc.).
Write efficient SQL queries and work with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
Work with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, etc.).
Design and implement RESTful APIs.
Work within Agile methodologies, utilizing tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Git.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
Implement Helm charts-based deployments on K8s and have familiarity with DevOps terminology.
Manage Docker container shipping and application performance metrics with tools like DataDog and ELK.
Understand and implement persistent volume claims (PVC) in Kubernetes.
Knowledge of EFS, NVMe, S3, and GraalVM is desirable.

Requirements And Qualifications

6-8 years of experience in backend development.
Expertise in Java Microservices, Spring Boot, and frameworks such as Micronaut.
Strong knowledge of Node.js and related frameworks (e.g., Express).
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Docker Swarm for container orchestration.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
Familiarity with RESTful API design principles.
Experience with Helm charts and K8s-based deployments.
Working knowledge of application performance tools and observability frameworks (e.g., DataDog, ELK).
Familiar with persistent volume claims (PVC) in Kubernetes.
Basic understanding of EFS, NVMe, and S3 storage solutions.
Preferred requirements:
Domain knowledge – GeoSpatial Intelligence, GIS
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
