Overview
- As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing software products within the Precisely Location Intelligence line of business. You will have ownership of the code base and all related build processes and automation. You will work within a team using agile methods to implement and deliver project requirements and will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements.
What You Will Do
- Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise level software products in the geocoding and addressing domain.
- Ability analyze and solve complex software problems.
- Create and maintain API’s and programs using C/C++ language that interface with Java integrations and perform in Cloud/SaaS environments.
- Effectively use Git for building and managing code.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Work within an agile Scrum team in the role of software engineer.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's in computer science, engineering, or a related field, depending on position level.
- 5 - 10+ years’ experience in software engineering.
- Proven experience in C/C++ programming language.
- Experience developing applications for Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Understanding and implementation of automated software testing and Quality Assurance methodologies.
- Self-motivated and have an interest in continuous learning.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse team.
- Must be hard working, team oriented, creative, cooperative, and an exceptional problem solver.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic group with a desire to be part of a small, lean and growing team.
- Understanding of Z/OS Mainframe and its modules ISPF, CICS, IMS, JCL – good to have.
- Familiarity with Bash script, Groovy and Nix shell scripts.
- Familiarity with Post GRES and SQL queries.
- Exposure to Cobol – good to have.
- Preferred Requirements:
- Knowledge in Java programming language is a nice to have.
- Experience working on agile teams, preferrable using Scrum.
- Tools: Jira, Git.
- Background in mainframe operating systems (z/OS, CICS, IMS).
