UI/UX Designer at Praella is a hybrid of several roles for a go-getter ready to impact a fast-growing digital agency. We are seeking a talented Ecommerce UI/UX Designer to join our creative team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces and experiences for ecommerce websites. You will work closely with our creative, development and project management teams to ensure seamless integration of design elements and optimal user experience. The sole purpose of the goal is to produce, execute, and ensure a high-quality product delivered on time and within budget.

The role is intended for someone who wants to walk into an environment where they can make an immediate impact, not just from production but from the process, data, creatives, internal opportunities, merchants, etc.

With this in mind, it is imperative for the candidate to have e-commerce experience - from data and analytics to creatives, to a general understanding of web design and development, a general understanding of app design and development, email marketing, and conversion rate optimization. This is not a technical role, but it is a very versatile designer role.

• Our founders started one of the first Shopify Plus agencies, which was eventually sold.

• We are Shopify Plus Partners and partner with other e-commerce leaders like ReCharge, Klaviyo, Omnisend, Yotpo, etc.

• We have a remote team, but our headquarters is in Chicago. We have a small team in Chicago. Outside of Chicago, we have teams located across the United States, Canada, Europe, and India.

• Majority of our clients are e-commerce-based merchants with annual revenue between $5M-$350MM.

What would you be doing?

• Design and develop user interfaces for e-commerce websites that enhance user experience and drive conversion rates.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas using Figma.
• Collaborate with developers to implement attractive designs that align with technical requirements and best practices.
• Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate on designs and improve user engagement.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UI/UX design for ecommerce.
• Plan, conceptualize, wireframe, and design high-quality ecommerce user experience across all viewports (desktop, tablet, and mobile).
• Execute creative deliverables for eCommerce projects from start to finish while incorporating the client's vision/input into the design.
• Clearly establish and communicate design targets and establish measurable goals
• Design solutions that resonate with target audiences or increase conversion.
• Work closely with Front-end Developers and the rest of the team to maximize the impact that design has on Client's business.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to leverage design to acquire, retain and convert users.
• Work on internal campaigns and initiatives in collaboration with the team.
• Communicate and explain your vision to clients and team members.

What will make you an ideal candidate for this job?

• Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role, with a portfolio showcasing ecommerce website design projects.
• 5+ years of UI/UX design experience
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with Shopify and understanding of ecommerce UX patterns.
• Strong experience in user interface/user experience
• Strong experience in digital visual design
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
• Experience with responsive and mobile-first design.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Great understanding of typography and fundamental design principles
• Ability to effectively communicate design ideas and solutions to clients and team members
• Ability to make data-driven design decisions based on available data
• have the ability to share and execute innovative ideas, technologies, and strategies
• Great communication (both verbally and in writing)
• Be an enthusiastic problem solver, a thinker, and an analyzer

• Knowledge of HTML/CSS; familiarity with frontend development frameworks is a plus.
