eCommerce Designer at Praella is a hybrid of several roles for a go-getter ready to impact a fast-growing digital agency. The role is an entry-level position that works under the mentorship of Strategic Account Managers and the Director of Merchant Success. The hope is for a UI/UX Designer to develop and become a Strategic Account Manager within 2 years. The sole purpose of the goal is to produce, execute, and ensure a high-quality product delivered on time and within budget.

The role is intended for someone who wants to walk into an environment where they can make an immediate impact, not just from production but from the process, data, creatives, internal opportunities, merchants, etc.

With this in mind, it is imperative for the candidate to have e-commerce experience - from data and analytics to creatives, to a general understanding of web design and development, a general understanding of app design and development, email marketing, and conversion rate optimization. This is not a technical role, but it is a very versatile role.

• Our founders started one of the first Shopify Plus agencies, which was eventually sold.

• We have a remote team, but our headquarters is in Chicago. We have a small team in Chicago. Outside of Chicago, we have teams located across the United States, Canada, Europe, and India.

• Majority of our clients are e-commerce-based merchants with annual revenue between $5M-$350MM.

What would you be doing?

• Plan, conceptualize, wireframe, and design high-quality ecommerce user experience across all viewports (desktop, tablet, and mobile).
• Execute creative deliverables for eCommerce projects from start to finish while incorporating the client's vision/input into the design.
• Clearly establish and communicate design targets and establish measurable goals
• Conduct user/demographic research through Client Surveys, Analytics, recordings, and other methods.
• Design solutions that resonate with target audiences or increase conversion.
• Work closely with Front-end Developers and the rest of the team to maximize the impact that design has on Client's business.
• Be comfortable working with remote clients and team members.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to leverage design to acquire, retain and convert users.
• Work on internal campaigns and initiatives in collaboration with the team.
• Communicate and explain your vision to clients and team members.

What will make you an ideal candidate for this job?

• 5+ years of UI/UX design experience

• Adobe Creative Suite expertise - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign

• Experience and expertise with Figma

• Strong experience in user interface/user experience

• Strong experience in digital visual design

• Great understanding of typography and fundamental design principles

• Ability to effectively communicate design ideas and solutions to clients and team members

• Ability to make data-driven design decisions based on data available

• Ability to research, harvest, and understand data that can impact the conceptualization and execution of the design

• have the ability to share and execute innovative ideas, technologies, and strategies

• Great communication (both verbally and in writing)

• Be an enthusiastic problem solver, a thinker, and an analyzer
