Key duties and responsibilities:
The role involves collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams to enhance products by designing new features, user flows, interfaces, and handling front-end development. You will work closely with colleagues to define user-focused designs, iterating based on feedback to add value. Your responsibilities will include creating user-centric UI designs, defining user flows, building prototypes, and developing high-fidelity interfaces. You will also be responsible for conducting user experience evaluations to ensure usability and accessibility standards are met. In this role, you will implement UI components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and collaborate with user researchers and designers to apply usability testing insights into interface improvements. You will advocate for user-centered design solutions, work with developers to solve problems, and provide guidance to back-end engineers on usability and front-end development. As a UI Designer, you will transform complex challenges into simple, intuitive designs and communicate them through user flows, wireframes, and prototypes. As a Front-end Developer, you will collaborate with developers to turn designs and wireframes into functional, high-quality code that ensures optimal usability and accessibility.
Required skills and experience include a strong background in implementing responsive UI components using HTML, CSS, ReactJS, and/or Angular, as well as experience with prototyping tools like Adobe XD, Axure, or Figma. A solid understanding of design principles, systems, and the application of WCAG 2.1 level AA guidelines is essential, with knowledge of how design, page structures, and code impact accessibility.
