At Potentially, we help universities and colleges embed and scale skills and graduate attribute development into their programs. Our learning experience platform enables education providers to support students in identifying, tracking, and evidencing the skills they acquire—boosting career readiness, lifelong learning, and graduate success. You’ll start by accelerating our university growth, then transition into shaping and marketing our new AI-powered learning intelligence offering as it matures.

The Role

We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Marketing Manager to lead our marketing efforts and support sales outreach. You’ll be responsible for crafting compelling campaigns to engage higher education institutions, writing strong content (emails, case studies, and thought leadership), organising webinars, and running targeted outreach via LinkedIn and email automation tools. This role is ideal for a practical, hands-on marketer who’s resourceful: you’ll roll up your sleeves to write, build, and run campaigns, webinars, and outreach—using smart hacks over big spend.

What you'll do

Outreach & Content

  • Run targeted email and LinkedIn campaigns for Higher Education contacts; set up outreach automations (HubSpot/Mailchimp/Lemlist)
  • Write compelling emails, landing pages, case studies, and whitepapers
  • Develop customer success stories from existing clients
  • Plan and deliver webinars and roundtables
  • Support our presence at learning technology conferences
  • Use AI tools to speed things up, automate simple workflows

Channels & Website

  • Own key channels (LinkedIn + specialist education forums); A/B test and iterate based on data
  • Keep the website fresh; handle basic SEO (with external support)

Market Expansion

  • Work closely with sales on ABM campaigns, messaging guides
  • Develop messaging that sets us apart from traditional LMS and career platforms
  • Design go-to-market strategy for apprenticeships and corporate learning & development
  • Target universities for both our core skills platform and new AI capabilities

Learning Intelligence Positioning

  • Shape our Learning Intelligence story; translate AI features (conversation analysis, mobile capture, skills recognition) into clear benefits
  • Build demo scripts, FAQs, and early case studies
  • Pilot AI-focused campaigns with friendly Higher Education accounts

What we’re looking for

Essential

  • 3–5 years B2B marketing (EdTech, SaaS, or tech).
  • Strong writing and messaging—email, case studies, landing pages, sales collateral.
  • Hands-on with email tools (HubSpot/Mailchimp/Lemlist) and LinkedIn distribution.
  • Data-driven operator comfortable prioritising with limited budget and moving quickly with sales.

Nice to have

  • Understanding of higher education markets (UK/international).
  • Comfort explaining technical/AI concepts; curiosity about AI in learning.
  • Event/webinar orchestration; SEO/website management with external partners.
  • Startup experience; ABM exposure; international perspective (US/EU awareness).

Working style & location

  • Flexible, remote-friendly culture; UK working hours or strong overlap.
  • Optional coworking/meetups. What matters most: high-quality work that drives results.

Why join us?

  • Help shape the future of skills development in higher education.
  • Work in a mission-driven, fast-moving startup environment.
  • Flexible, remote-friendly culture.
  • Make a measurable impact on student outcomes and graduate success.

Salary range: £42k - £55k (DOE)
