About Porte + Hall

Porte + Hall, launched in 2019, is an e-commerce brand re-inventing the hardest working areas of your home. We believe that something as simple as a doormat can change the way we welcome people into our lives. Our mission is to create premium and innovative products that make your home’s first impression both beautiful and practical.

About the Role

Porte + Hall is entering its next phase of growth, and performance marketing will play a critical role in driving efficient customer acquisition and unlocking scalable, durable revenue.

As Director of Performance Marketing, you will drive the systems, strategy, and performance of our acquisition engine, driving new customer growth across paid media and optimizing the full conversion funnel. You will lead channel strategy and execution across key platforms, with deep ownership of Meta and Google (including PMax, Search, and Shopping), while continuously testing and scaling emerging channels to diversify and strengthen our media mix.

You will partner directly with the Head of Growth to shape budget allocation, testing roadmaps, and channel expansion strategy, and collaborate closely with Lifecycle, Creative, and Ecommerce teams to ensure a cohesive and high-performing customer journey from first impression through conversion.

This role sits at the intersection of media buying, analytics, and revenue strategy, and is responsible for building an acquisition engine that scales efficiently over time.

We’re looking for a hands-on, data-driven operator with deep expertise in Meta and Google ecosystems — someone who knows how to translate platform signals into performance, optimize toward blended business outcomes, and thrive in a fast-paced DTC environment driven by testing, iteration, and measurable impact.

What You’ll Own

Paid Social

  • Own paid social strategy and execution across Meta and emerging platforms; directly managing campaigns, budgets, and optimization without agency intermediary.
  • Drive creative testing strategy in partnership with the Creative team to maximize thumb-stop rate and ROAS.
  • Build and maintain audience architecture: prospecting, retargeting, and exclusion logic across platforms.
  • Scale winning audiences and creative combinations while managing ROAS targets by product cohort.

Paid Search

  • Own Google and Bing search strategy: keyword architecture, bidding, ad copy testing, and shopping feed management.
  • Coordinate with SEO support to align paid and organic keyword strategy and avoid cannibalization.
  • Monitor impression share, Quality Score, and conversion tracking to continuously improve efficiency.
  • Scale Google end-to-end across the full funnel, maximizing performance across all inventory.

Channel Expansion

  • Lead the evaluation and launch of CTV/streaming ad placements as a new acquisition channel.
  • Identify and test additional upper-funnel channels (programmatic display, audio, etc.) with clear measurement frameworks.
  • Build incrementality testing discipline to assess true channel contribution.

SEO & CRO

  • Manage SEO contractor support: set priorities, review deliverables, and align organic strategy to revenue goals.
  • Manage CRO contractor support: prioritize test roadmap, review results, and ensure learnings feed back into paid creative and landing page strategy.
  • Serve as the internal owner of site conversion performance and organic search visibility, collaborating with the ecommerce team.

Direct Mail

  • Coordinate acquisition-focused direct mail campaigns with agency partner.
  • Define targeting lists, offer strategy, and creative direction for prospecting mail programs.
  • Track channel-level attribution and incrementality to assess direct mail's contribution to new customer acquisition.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Own the Acquisition dashboard: Gross Revenue, Blended ROAS, CAC by channel, and new customer volume
  • Partner with Head of Growth on weekly performance reviews with clear trend analysis and recommendations.
  • Lead media mix and budget allocation recommendations based on channel performance and growth objectives.

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • 7+ years in performance marketing, with at least 3-5 years managing $500K/mo in spend.
  • Direct ownership of paid social and paid search budgets in a DTC e-commerce environment.
  • Proven track record of scaling revenue through paid channels while maintaining CAC and ROAS efficiency.
  • Hands-on experience managing agency relationships and holding external partners accountable to performance targets.
  • Strong analytical foundation — comfortable with MTA, MMM concepts, and building performance reports in GA4, Looker, or similar tools.
  • Experience managing or coordinating SEO and CRO programs, even if executed by specialists.
  • Excellent communicator who can translate channel data into clear business recommendations for leadership.

Nice to Have

  • Experience launching or scaling CTV/streaming ad programs.
  • Familiarity with direct mail attribution and prospecting list strategy.
  • Experience with feed management tools (DataFeedWatch, Feedonomics, or similar) for shopping campaigns.
  • Experience at a company scaling through a similar revenue stage ($15M–$50M).

How You’ll Be Measured

  • Gross Revenue (primary): total revenue driven by acquisition channels on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Blended ROAS: total channel revenue divided by total paid media spend, tracked weekly.
  • New Customer Acquisition Volume: total new customers acquired per month, by channel.
  • CAC by Channel: cost to acquire a new customer across paid social, paid search, CTV, and direct mail.
  • Organic Share of Traffic: SEO visibility and non-paid traffic growth as a secondary health metric.

How You’ll Work

You'll report directly to the Head of Growth and own the Acquisition pillar. You'll collaborate daily with the Creative team to keep the creative pipeline stocked with fresh, test-ready assets, and partner closely with the Director of Lifecycle Marketing to align messaging across the funnel and share audience intelligence. Contractor relationships (SEO, CRO) and agency partners (Direct Mail) are managed through this role, with budget and strategic decisions made in partnership with the Head of Growth.

Compensation & Details

  • The expected salary range is $140,000–$165,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Full benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k) and opportunity to participate in the company bonus pool.
  • Flexible remote-first work environment with occasional travel to NY Metro area
  • High-impact seat at a founder-led brand with strong growth momentum
