As a Software Engineer II, you will join a collaborative, cross-functional team focused on building scalable systems to extract, process, and deliver property attribute data. You will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of data pipelines and services that support the Home Factors product, working closely with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers in our remote-first engineering culture.
What You’ll Do As A Software Engineer II
What You Will Bring As A Senior Software Engineer II
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or four years of equivalent work experience)
Experience: 2 to 4 years of software development experience.
Technical experience:
Proficiency with SQL, preferably PostgreSQL
Production JVM language experience, preferably Scala
Familiarity with data science concepts, data labeling, information extraction
Familiarity with concepts and terminology used in property inspections, real estate assessments, or home condition reporting
Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), event-driven systems (Kafka), cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), and CI/CD pipelines
Experience building and maintaining backend services, APIs, or data pipelines
Strong proficiency in English with the ability to accurately interpret and analyze nuanced text, discerning variations in meaning as they relate to effective data extraction and regular expression development
Proven experience working with US based business teams.
Excellent written and communication skills in English language.
Must currently reside in or are located within 150 km of Greater Delhi NCR, Greater Bangalore, or Greater Pune
Ability to work within core US business hours / time zone expectations - Eastern Standard Time (PST) overlap
Workspace: A quiet space to work, an internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download | 10 Mbps upload
