This is a unique opportunity to join a proven company and build the tech stack from 0 to 1. You will be working directly with the co-founders in a fast-paced startup environment, have ownership of key architecture, and contribute to everything.

What We Do

We are a digital marketing agency pivoting into the next evolution of our business centered around our AI marketing tool. Our clients are plumbers, electricians, and many other service-oriented companies. We build their website, run their advertising, manage their reputation, and provide a white-glove service that is rare in this industry.

Our current MVP has already gained massive traction, automating review requests, followups, and responses resulting in improved rankings and conversions for local service businesses.

This is just the start.

The Roadmap

Our goal is to have a V1 released 90 days after finding the right person. We have some solid ideas wireframed in Figma but there is still time to make contributions before we actually build them out.

In addition to a major refactor and separation of the code, the V1 will include new features including a messages app which enables our clients to send SMS messages and emails via a familiar SMS looking interface with AI offering suggested messages and ensuring follow-ups. We'll also introduce our AI assistant that creates and launches multi-channel marketing plans.

V2 is where it gets even more interesting, where the goal becomes powering a real-time voice assistant that can answer the phone for a plumber when they are busy and schedule an appointment for the customer. We have some great long-term ideas on how to position ourselves to ensure we grow with AI instead of being left behind. Your input and ideas will be key in shaping the future of our roadmap.

The Tech Stack

The MVP uses pure Django and Postgres running on AWS Elastic Beanstalk. The plan is to move the Views to Django Rest Framework and the templates to a mobile-first React Native app with a web-based admin app. We say move, but in reality, this is a re-architecture with major new features and a need to rethink the app from the ground up. There are many major components that will still need to be built from the deploy process, worker queue system, async server such as fastAPI, and creating the new React app.

Designing the stack will be a collaborative process where this role will be able to significantly influence the direction and take ownership of major parts of the system.

Requirements

At least three years of experience working in a senior engineering role.

Experience with React Native and the desire to build a scalable app from scratch.

Experience building and scaling backend web services.

Excellent English communication.

Desire to work at a startup.

Compensation

We are a bootstrapped company with no investors, and this role is fully budgeted. The annual salary to start is $100,000. Future compensation and equity are open for discussion. If we move fast and succeed, compensation can increase rapidly.

Fully Remote

We are a fully remote company, and this position can be done from anywhere in the US.
