About the Role

We’re looking for a Software Engineer with strong Clojure experience to join a collaborative, fully remote team. This role is ideal for engineers who are passionate about functional programming, clean system architecture, and meaningful product impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain robust, well-tested APIs using Clojure
• Contribute to scalable, production-ready backend systems within a lending platform
• Collaborate in a remote-first, low-ego engineering environment
• Mentor peers and provide direct, constructive code review feedback
• Leverage AI tools to boost productivity and efficiency
• Take ownership of features from ideation to deployment

What We’re Looking For

Experience:

• 5+ years of total software engineering experience
• Hands-on, practical Clojure experience in production (not just academic)
• Experience with functional languages such as Elixir, Scala, Haskell, or Lisp is a plus (especially when combined with Clojure exposure)

Technical Skills:

• Strong grasp of functional programming concepts
• Experience with ClojureScript or other front-end technologies is a bonus
• Familiarity with building scalable APIs and microservices
• Proficiency in working with distributed systems and production-grade architecture

Soft Skills & Culture Fit:

• Advanced English proficiency (listening, reading, and communication)
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and initiative
• Comfortable with startup pace and culture
• Open communicator who values feedback and collaborative problem-solving
